Pinot Noir - Meiomi Wines Pinot Noir - Meiomi Wines In the glass, the Pinot Noir by Meiomi Wines presents itself in a bright ruby red with purple highlights. The nose reveals strong notes of fresh strawberries and juicy red currant - accompanied by nuances of mocha beans and bourbon vanilla. On the palate, too, the aromas of the nose are presented with other red berries. The fine tannins are accompanied by a soft body and subtle fruit acid. The finale comes with a magnificent length. Vinification of the Meiomi Wines Pinot Noir The grapes come from Monterey County, Santa Barbara County and Sonoma County. After harvesting, the Pinot-Noir grapes are pressed into the wine cellar. This is followed by fermentation in a stainless steel tank. The wood finishing ensures the vanilla and mocha shades. This red wine was aged for a total of 6 months in French oak barrels.

This dusty-pink Pinot Noir rosé offers perfumed notes of cherry blossom and fresh raspberry backed by revitalizing acidity and a backbone of stony minerality. Slim and brisk in profile, it's a well-priced, consistently tasty sip that's refreshing year round. — Anna Lee C. Iijima
Previously a Majestic exclusive, the popular Bread & Butter range from California is now available in Sainsbury's. This luscious Pinot is packed with soft juicy red fruit on the nose and palate: raspberry, cherry, strawberry and cranberry. Gentle oaking (five months in French and American barrels) adds an edge of woody dried herbs.
Pinot Noir wines are pale in color, translucent and their flavors are very subtle. The grape itself is weak, suffering from a variety of diseases and its genetics make it highly susceptible to mutation. Despite the difficulty in growing the grape, prices for a bottle of Pinot Noir are generally more than a similar quality red wine. CFsnYB. 268 163 202 350 360 150 231 370 477
